Usually not. Baseboard, window casing, and the door back into the house is often a day or two, and it is the change that makes the space read as a room rather than an addition.
The window was set in a wall of a different thickness and needs a jamb extension — a strip bringing the jamb flush before casing goes on. It is a normal step in a converted space and it is the one most often skipped.
We would match it. Using a shorter modern profile in an addition keeps it reading as an addition however neatly it is fitted. Matching the main house is usually only a small amount more in material.
In Chattaroy especially. We are about ten minutes away, so there is very little travel in the price and a half-day of small jobs is straightforward work.

The full picture

Trim is what closes that gap, and it is a small job relative to the effect. Baseboard around the perimeter, casing on the windows and the door back into the house, and a stool and apron on the windows if they were fitted without one.
The detail that matters most is matching the room back to the house rather than to itself. If the rest of the floor has a tall base and wide casing, using a short modern profile here keeps the room reading as an addition no matter how well it is fitted.

A single room here is a normal day. Coming back with one more length of casing costs half an hour rather than an afternoon, which means we are not tempted to make a joint work that should not have to.
If you have a list of small things around the house — a doorway never cased, a run of base missing behind where furniture used to be — it is worth doing them in one visit rather than one at a time.
Chattaroy is strung along the bottom between the Tug Fork and the hillside, and the housing reflects that — wood-framed homes built on the flat wherever there was room, a lot of it former coal-camp stock that has been added onto over the years rather than replaced. Porches, rear additions, and enclosed back rooms are common, and they were often framed by different hands at different times. That matters more than it sounds: the additions are usually where the framing and the water problems meet.
There is very little ground here that is not close to the river. Properties on the flat have taken Tug Fork water more than once, and the ones tucked against the hill take runoff instead, so the exposure is different but the result is the same — framing that stays wet. The failures we find are concentrated low: sill plates, joist ends, post bottoms, and the sole plates in additions that were built without much of a moisture break underneath.
